E13 FCJ - Welcome to the Europan 13 Forum of Cities and Juries
The Forum of Cities and Juries is the meeting at the European scale of the sites and juries representatives around a shortlist of the projects established by the national juries.
One of the main goals is to create a common culture for the experts involved in the projects evaluation before making the final choice, during a second session of the national juries. This Forum is therefore the chance for structured and informal exchanges between the juries and sites representatives, the latter delegating the choice of the winning teams to the former.
The Europan 13 Forum of Cities and Juries is organised by the European Europan secretary, with the participation of the national secretaries and in partnership with the Faculty of Architecture of the Technical University of Bratislava. It will be divided into 2 days:
Friday Nov. 6, 2015 – Bratislava / Wien: Inhabiting European Cities
INTRODUCTORY LECTURES ON THE EUROPEAN CITY AND BRATISLAVA, followed by
visits of urban and architectural sites in Bratislava (SK) and
ANALYSIS AND VISITS of Europan implementations in Wien (AT)
Saturday Nov. 7, 2015 – WORKING GROUPS with the sites representatives and jury members
Working Groups of ANALYSIS AND DEBATES of the ideas proposed in the shortlisted projects, as answers to the questions raised by the sites and the issue of adaptability.
A reception will close the event on Saturday night at the Stará tržnica, Bratislava's former main market hall.
This forum is only open to national structures, sites representatives and jury members. The Europan 13 teams are not allowed to participate for obvious reasons of confidentiality and anonymity.
